Kids Can Tap Too Children's Self-Esteem Games Introduces New Meridian Sock Puppets to Help Kids De-Stress Themselves

Through the use of short interactive computer games, children experiencing night time fears, separation anxiety and other issues learn a technique to reduce stress, relax and regain confidence.

EVANSVILLE, WI, May 25, 2011 /HomeFamily PR News/ -- A new line of delightful self-help toys has been added to the Kids Can Tap Too collection of children's educational story-games. The new Meridian Puppets are sock puppets, appealing to kids of all ages.

The sock puppets can be used alone or in conjunction with other Kids Can Tap Too materials. The focus of Kids Can Tap Too is to teach children simple methods to release negative emotions. Using instructional material on CDs, Kids Can Tap Too addresses a variety of issues, including night time fears, unwillingness to share, and separation anxiety.

The inspiration for the Kids Can Tap Too materials was a six-year-old's fear of performing in a school play. Author and creator Becky Schenk-Gonzales wanted to help her granddaughter overcome her fear by combining a de-stressing technique with a sense of fun. The result was the first "I've Got Feelings" story-game. With friendly characters like Patty Cat, Biff the Bear and a wise old owl, the collection has now grown to nine instructional story-games on CDs, plus a paperback book, and now puppets.

The Meridian Puppets are more than a fun tool. "The puppets motivate children to talk, to voice their feelings by speaking to the puppets," Schenk-Gonzales says. "Even adults find themselves learning from the puppets, as they help their children." Puppets, CDs and the book can be purchased online at www.kidscantaptoo.com. Prices range from $4.95 to $18.50. Meridian Puppets are $8.95. For more information, visit www.kidscantaptoo.com, or contact the author at bug@kidscantaptoo.com.

Kids Can Tap Too is an innovative company combining self-help techniques with computer characters to teach children how to resolve fears, gain self esteem and boost confidence. Contact the author-creator, Becky Schenk-Gonzales, for details.
